7TV, BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ are services that, among other things, add additional sets of emoticons to your stream chat, including those created by you. Typically, this works by having the viewer type the name of the emoticon in the chat, and when the message is sent, the name of that emoticon is converted into an image. This can also be done through special extensions.
AxelChat also supports the display of these emotes. Moreover, AxelChat allows you to enable the display of these emotes even for those streaming platforms for which there is no official support.
Instructions
To enable these emotes for a specific platform, open the Connections window, select YouTube, for example, and turn on this switch:
However, this only enables the display of emoticons that are global and available to everyone. To enable the display of your own emoticons, you must log into AxelChat with your Twitch account that is linked to third-party emoticon services. This should be done even if you do not plan to use Twitch, but, for example, want to use your custom emoticons on YouTube or another platform. To make sure you've done everything correctly, please pay attention here:
Here you can see the number of loaded global and your own (channel) emoticons, if you have any, of course.
For example, I have a custom not global emoticon HUH installed in 7TV, which is linked to my Twitch account. Now, if I type HUH in the YouTube chat, it will turn into a cat emoticon in AxelChat.

But usually, to enter third-party emoticons into a chat, browser extensions are used, which allow you to do this in a couple of clicks. You can find these extensions on the corresponding websites of third-party emoticon services. This is what Twitch chat looks like with the appropriate extensions installed:
Problems and limitations
Please note that there is currently a limitation that displays animated emoticons without animation in the AxelChat window. Therefore, I recommend using AxelChat widgets that do not have such limitations.
Some users have another problem. In some countries, some services with custom emoticons may be blocked, which is why AxelChat cannot display emoticons of these services, even if it shows that emoticons are loaded:
But how to solve this problem, I think you already know.
