Lab Ideas

What platform are you planning on hosting things on (baremetal, hypervisor, containers, etc.) & what's the plan to expose it (web-ui, CLI, etc.)?

Most of the labs have been configured to be self-hosted on personal machines as of now. I think once most of the labs are finished they will be hosted on physical servers but the current approach has helped with rapid prototyping and testing.

How are you self-hosting them on personal machines now then, containers?

Also, what are experience do the lab manager(s) have with administration (or are wanting to have)?

That'll help inform the best way for your team to self-host things, and help you narrow the hosting platforms (i.e. Proxmox VMs, Rancher for k8s, k3s, Ubuntu w/docker installed, etc.).

We are evaluating the labs on personal machines prior to deployment on the lab server. Prospective members will hopefully just drop into a cli or connect via a lab computer and have access to machine based on the pre-defined topology containing machines, related to the labs.
