Batch Job Root-Directory included as a tag

Hello,

I noticed, when running a batch job, that the Root-Directory column in my CSV file was included as a tag in the bag-info.txt. Is this functionality intended? And if so, is there a way to disable it? I think it's better to avoid saving this information in the archive.

Hi Erik,

I honestly can't even remember if that was intentional or not. I know it did come in handy in the first major batch job we ran here at UVA. I can add an option to disable that behavior, though it will be a while before I can get to that.

I'm not certain whether it's necessary for us to disable it, but I think it would be a nice option if you have the time. What use case did you have for it at UVA? Perhaps there's a use for it that I haven't understood yet.

We were bagging up and preserving a thousand or so old web sites from some servers belonging to central IT. IT knew the sites primarily by their location on disk. Storing that location in the tag files made it easy for us to verify that all directories were captured, and makes it easy for IT to map bags back to their original location in the future.

Understand that central IT does not work like a normal library or archiving organization. For them, the directory path of each website was the identifier.
