Hi, I am interested in a python translation of this code, but I cannot decompile prefixed_double_filter.
See my repository https://github.com/falseywinchnet/PyITD for python adaptations of two other decomposition algorithms.
Perhaps they might help inspire a ALIF translation.

interestingly, ALIF, ITD, and EFD all essentially compete with EMD, but no literature on any of the three know of the other.

In python you can use scipy.
The function scipy.io.loadmat function does what you want. It returns a dictionary.
Use the key „MM“ to retrieve the filter data.

from scipy.io import loadmat
filter_data = loadmat(„prefixed_double_filter.mat“)[„MM“]
