Support for SwitchBot Lock Pro

first of all, thank you for your work on the Homey App. I really appreciate the effort you put into this project.

I would like to ask if there are any plans to add support for the SwitchBot Lock Pro in an upcoming update. Do you have an estimated timeline for when this feature might be available?

It would be great to integrate the Lock Pro into Homey, and I’m looking forward to your response.

The Lock Pro is already supported via a hub and the cloud. There's no BLE version of the driver because of the encryption used for security.

thank you for your reply! I understand now that you were thinking of the Ultra, not the Pro.

I’m a bit confused and honestly quite frustrated. I’ve read a lot that the SwitchBot Lock Pro requires a Hub to work, but I don’t fully understand why, since the device itself is Matter-compatible.

Could you please clarify how it is supposed to work with Homey? Is a Hub really necessary, or should I just wait until the SwitchBot Lock Pro is fully supported in the Homey App?

I really appreciate any guidance you can give — I’m just trying to get the Lock Pro connected properly.

I have published a new test version with support for the Lock Pro.

First of all, thank you so much for the incredibly quick support and for adding the Lock Pro to the test version!

I have installed the test version, but unfortunately, my Homey cannot find the Lock Pro yet.

The devices are less than 2 meters apart, so they are practically right next to each other.

As a total beginner in the smart home world, I am a bit confused about the connection: Since the Lock Pro supports Matter and other assistants, I assumed I wouldn't need a Hub/Bridge.

Does your app require a SwitchBot Hub to see the lock via the Cloud API, or should it work directly via Bluetooth (BLE) since the distance is so short?

The Lock Pro will require a hub to work with Homey as it has no WiFi.
The app won't connect to the Lock via BLE due to the safety requirement and encryption.
