Needs progress output

I think that this script needs some kind of output to stdout indicating progress.
We generally use https://docs.python.org/3/library/logging.html for this.

A preliminary version is included in #10 but it only works for serial computation. Dask progress bars are displayed in the dask dashboard, which we may be able to interface with using the dask.distributed API
