Show where drinking water is taken from rivers

Not sure if the data for this is available but could you show sites where drinking water is taken from rivers and reservoirs downstream from discharge sites and the areas these serve?

Thanks! Sorry about delay on responding to this (I didn't spot it initially!). Nice idea! I just had a look for this data and can't seem to find anything public. Do you know if this data exists (publicly?). I vaguely thought that perhaps this information was kept relatively secure for purposes of security (e.g., similar to sewerage data) but I do not know this with any certainty!

OpenStreetMap seems to have data on this. If you filter on water at https://openinframap.org/ you can see Water Treatment Works (in addition to the more prevalent wastewater works).

Thank you for sharing me with this resource which I wasn't previously aware of! We'll have a think about whether to include this or not. My concern is that some sources may not necessarily be immediately local, and so there is a challenge for how to indicate that sensibly on a map as a point. I'm not as much of an expert on the drinking water aspect of the water sector so would have to do some research on this.

Moreover, many of these points could also be bore-hole fed abstraction points which are not easily represented.
