Possible f3write + f3read false negative #253

This is more of a question than an issue but couldn’t find another place to ask.

Is there additional tests one could run to confirm a drive’s true capacity beyond f3write + f3read Or there’s no chance of them reporting a false negative?

Recently I bought three 128GB NVME low-end drives from Amazon, same manufacturer and model. When plugged into different devices all reported being 1TB. The packaging, even the stickers on top of the chips (which void the warranty if removed) indicate they're the 128GB model. Suspicious I ran f3write and f3read (several times) on all of them and they all passed every time. I tried searching for similar cases but couldn’t find anything.
