Afaik, as of 0.9.2, current rom directory is only refreshed upon startup or upon adding the rom folder to the list. So if you update the rom folder externally (adding or deleting files), you'd have to perform either action to see the changes reflected in currently browsed directory ROM list.
I'm suggesting a simple button to manually perform the operation, but another possible way would be to poll the directory for updates (through inotify on linux) and refresh the ROM list accordingly.
