Device sometimes refuses to initialize

I've been running into a problem where the device crashes while initializing.
I'm running windows 10 21H2 and Ableton Live 11.1
the timer will refuse to tick up; and when opening up the device it will crash Max Instantly, showing only "ipem.ltc.decode~ V1.0.0 by Bart Moens (IPEM) and David Butler (The Impersonal Stereo), 2019" in the logs.

I'm not sure what could be causing this, but it's probably something going on inside the module that I can't access on my version of max.

Is there any way I can troubleshoot this?

Currently only tested using ableton 10. Will test when we update. You can also check out IRCAM's spat, their toolbox also has an ltc decode (didn't test it yet though)

I think it might actually be some kind of problem with the version of maxMSP inclued in the current latest version of Live 11.
Once I updated to the beta, which has a never version of Max embedded inside it, the issue stopped showing up.

I think I figured out why this happens! I'm experiencing some permission issues with Max... running Live as admin seems to fix it sometimes; it's definitely not something inherent to your plugin- other max devices can also lock up and become unresponsive
