Horizontal Scroll bar keeps appearing and disappearing

I'm progressing through a roleplay chat and noticed there's some odd 'glitches' with the horizontal scroll/status bar at the bottom of the chat - it's the thing that moves/shows progress when the AI response is being generated. For me it keeps appearing and disappearing when I'm not chatting or interacting with the app in any way. This causes the whole chat above it to constantly move up and down as the bar appears and disappears. It occurs regardless of whether the side bar is shown or hidden. I can't figure out how to make it not glitch out.

I can't reproduce this anymore. It seems like the issue was connected to the 'choice generator', I don't know what it was doing, but it's not glitching out for me anymore.

Measurement issues causing horizontal scrollbars to freak out aren't unusual.
