[FEATURE] Mentorship Page is Not Dynamically Working

Feature Description

Mentorship Page enhancement and the backend logic.

Problem Statement

So currently the mentors page which is made up statically but there backend for storing the mentor data in the database, you need to fix the issues and making the mentor matching feature working here,

Proposed Solution

1. Comparing the Users Skills set with the Mentors skills
2. if match is found then giving them as the mentor to the user
3. For the Mentors List page if user assigned them self as the mentor in the profile setting then only they are listed here.

I’d like to work on this feature as part of SWoC 2026.

Proposed implementation plan:
Design and fix the backend schema/API to store mentor profiles and their skill sets in the database.
Ensure only users who opt in as mentors via profile settings are listed on the Mentors page.
Implement mentor–mentee matching logic by comparing user skill requirements with mentor skill sets.
Return matched mentors dynamically and integrate the response with the existing Mentorship page.
I’ll ensure the solution is scalable, well-documented, and aligned with the current backend architecture.

I’d like to work on this feature as part of SWoC 2026.

I understand that the current Mentorship page is static and lacks backend integration.

I plan to:

• Design and integrate backend APIs to store mentor profiles and their skill sets
• Ensure only users who opt-in as mentors via profile settings are listed
• Implement mentor–mentee matching logic by comparing user skills with mentor skills
• Make the Mentorship page fully dynamic using the backend response

I’ll keep the solution scalable, well-documented, and aligned with the existing architecture.
