Non Registered User Voting

Just a small suggestion, a way to allow non-website registered users to vote. That would allow flexibility for those game servers that have children players that's parents wont let them register for the site a way to vote. A Vote as guest Button would be the most optimal option

Comme toutes les suggestions, on n’a aucune idée de quand/si les features seront ajoutées. Néanmoins si l’issue reste ouverte c’est que nous trouvons l’idée intéressante donc c’est plutôt un bon début.
Après le projet est open-source donc rien n’empêche de contribuer, ou de recruter une personne pour ajouter la feature

J'en profite pour demander une petite chose avant la fermeture de l'issue : Ajouter une option pour activer/désactiver cette fonctionnalité dans admin/vote/settings

Etrange, sur mon site utilisant la dernière version d'Azuriom, si l'on est pas connecté au site, on peut voter avec son propre pseudonyme.

Does anyone have any ideas for this issue ?

Here are two ideas, more or less good, but which may inspire.

If the user is not recognized, a mail field (possibly captcha and/or terms if activated) appears, allowing the user to register quickly. The password can be reset later. This feature would also work with the Shop plugin. The user experience loses a little, however, because it's still a registration process.

If the user is not recognized, a temporary user is created without an e-mail address. When the rewards are sent, the user is deleted without an e-mail address. This point will potentially cause many problems in the future as well as in the short term (performance, ghost accounts, etc.).

I have mixed feelings about this issue, as I see it as a question of user experience. In fact, registration on an Azuriom is very quick.

The main issue would be the user instance in the database, as it cannot really be deleted due to foreign keys constraints, and also we need to be able to keep track of rewards.

Also when using Microsoft/Steam login (for Steam or Minecraft premium servers) or when using auth plugin integration (for Minecraft offline servers), no explicit registration step is required

After thinking about this for a bit, I’m trying to understand in which case this feature would be useful. More explanation are definitely welcomed to better understand the current requirements :)

For context currently:

• For Steam servers, usernames on Steam are not unique and might contain really fancy characters, so username login only is definitely not safe
• For Minecraft servers with Microsoft login: the user needs to login only once on the website and then will be registered without any additional step
• For Minecraft servers in offline mode (accepting unofficial accounts): an auth plugin is obviously required on the server, and by enabling auth plugin integration in AzLink, players are automatically registered without any additional step

Hence, I’m not sure to understand in which case a user might have to vote without a registered account ?

Regarding this suggestion, it concerns the ease of use of the website, in other words: skipping the step where you have to create an account/log in with Microsoft.

Because now, on most Minecraft websites not linked to Azuriom, you no longer need an account at all, just a username, which is then saved in the cache for future sessions.

For example, Tebex does not require you to create an account, just enter a username. The same applies to several other examples that I can provide you with via Discord DM if you like!

It’s still doesn’t answer the question in which type of setup it would provide significant improvement for user experience ?

About Tebex, first it’s a shop and not a vote system, and with the automatic account creation system that Azuriom provides, how it would be different from a username login (like Tebex) ? And as a small note, even on Tebex login is required for Steam servers. But sure will DM you on Discord :)
