Objective

Create a hard gate before any external submission to ensure the paper is academically defensible and reproducible.

Readiness gates (all required)

Gate A — Citation lock

  • All placeholder citations removed from �rxiv/references.bib
  • Every major claim in �rxiv/main.tex traceable to a primary source
  • CITATION.cff metadata aligned with manuscript scope/version
  • Citation style and keys consistent across all files

Gate B — Experimental evidence lock

  • Recursive stability experiment executed with reproducible config and seeds
  • Epistemic friction experiment executed with documented noise protocol
  • Results exported as machine-readable artifacts (CSV/JSON)
  • Statistical reporting includes uncertainty (CI or equivalent) and effect deltas

Gate C — Manuscript quality lock

  • Introduction and related work clearly distinguish established findings vs. hypotheses
  • Methods section describes protocol with enough detail for independent replication
  • Results section reports measured values (no placeholders)
  • Discussion includes limitations, threats to validity, and failure modes
  • Ethical and governance considerations included for deployment context

Gate D — Submission package lock

  • arXiv/PhilSci package compiles to final PDF
  • Venue-facing abstracts and metadata are internally consistent
  • Final proofreading completed (terminology, formatting, references)
  • Distribution assets prepared for PhilSci-Archive, OpenReview, ResearchGate, and BitConcepts whitepaper

Exit condition

Close this issue only when all gates are checked and linked issues are resolved or explicitly waived with rationale.
