RX stops working if backup lipo is disconnected

I kind of like how the RX will not start working untli I flip the switch to turn the battery on.
But if I turn it off after things are armed, the RX drops the signal even though it's getting good voltage from the servo line.
That makes me nervous, it means if the backup lipo gets disconnected or fails, it will cause the RX to fail too, which is not what I'd want.
Is this expected? If not, would you be able to fix this in firmware?

I never heard back, but there is a solder pad on the board that disables the onboard lipo. This isn't quite what I was thinking about, but at least if you're trying to use the module with a backup lipo, this is how you would use it.
Yet, if you booted with a backup lipo, and it failed, or got disconnected, currently the module will stop receiving every few seconds, and that's not desired if you're flying obviously.
