Introducing CCART: An India‑Focused Cyclone Calibration Toolkit Built on CLIMADA

Hello CLIMADA team and community,

I’m excited to share CCART (Cyclone Calibration and Risk Toolkit – India), an open‑source framework built entirely on top of CLIMADA for district‑level cyclone impact modelling across India.

CCART provides:

• metadata‑driven multi‑state cyclone processing
• district‑level hazard, exposure, and calibrated impact outputs
• DLNA‑aligned calibration for 14 historical cyclones
• a clean, reproducible national master dataset (v1.3)
• transparent, versioned workflows aligned with CLIMADA’s architecture

A note for transparency: Cyclone Tauktae is excluded from the v1.3 calibrated dataset due to a computational ceiling encountered during hazard‑field generation under extreme intensity and multi‑state conditions. It will be revisited in a future release.
