Not able to escape the ' symbol

trying to produce image with "don't rotate" but the ' symbol renders as a . How should I escape the ' to make it work?

Thanks for the report! This should be fixed with #52, and I've included some tests so it can't regress.

Strange, it works in browser as url but when I use in markdown it still produces a backslash

It doesn't for me, hmm. Perhaps you're still seeing GitHub's cache of that image? What if you change something small like the background colour, to bust the cache?
