[Question] How to build?

Hi,

I would like to use this, since this seems to be the only actual library that would let me have 'asynchronous' keyboard inputs for my terminal/console based application.

I just want to be able to pause during a loop only when a key is pressed and want to be able to control the position of the loop using the arrow keys when paused.

I think this repo should fit my project, but I don't know how to build it

Please help me out.

To answer your question: I can't remember if my prototype does what you want. It's unclear to me what you mean by, "control the position of the loop." You could listen for the virtual key (VK) "make" messages of the keys you care about in addition to the arrow keys. Note when a key is being held down using a variable. When you get the "break" message about the key, you'd clear the variable. When you get an arrow key, you'd check your variable to see if something special needs to happen in response to the press of the arrow key at the same time your key of interest is being held down.

AutoHotkey is for Windows only!
I am running in Linux.

But yeah my idea is to make like an 'animation' player. Like a video player but within the terminal... And you need to be able to pause and resume. And seek forward and backwards.

But yeah, the most important thing for me is to know how to build this code, tho... (I see I forgot to put it in my message, and only put it in the title of this issue)

My code is Windows only. It builds with the push of a button using Microsoft Visual Studio.
