Request: Additional config options for new input types

I'm attempting to create a new input type - essentially an autocomplete entity picker for selecting groups to join at the time of registration

Since access_id doesn't really apply in this case it would be nice if the input config could disable the access input.
Additionally the PM mandatory check considers the field empty all the time as it doesn't understand the entity picker. Some way to allow mandatory to be labeled but provide our own check would be perfect.
