Cannot connect to 2013 Diesel with Openport 2.0

I am having issues with FreeSSM on Debian 13 connecting to a 2013 Outback Diesel CVT with Openport 2.0 Cable.

I am able to read / flash this ECU with ECUFlash (windows) and the Openport 2.0. ECU is CAN Hitachi SH7059

I have built the devel base with debug. Using J2534 libraries from https://github.com/dschultzca/j2534/tree/master

Seems some data is coming back from the ECU; is it not being recognized in FreeSSM? Am I on the right track?

I would love to get FreeSSM working... And then spend some effort sniffing the protocols for DPF exchange / forced regeneration.
