LED's not working

Do the LEDs need external power applied to J1? I can read the hall effect sensors, but have never had any luck with the LEDs.

Same issue here. I'm usin the ESP32 as well. Getting 5v to every LED, but every sketch uploaded won't light up any one. Note that the author demos the board with a nano RP2040. Do we need to modify the code for the ESP32?
Also, the repository no longer has a version per board revision (rev1 & rev2) despite the tutorial's references. I have a rev1 board so no idea if the ino is the correct rev for my board.

OK so did some research (ok used ChatGPT, but still).

So, this build is for the RP2040 version of the Arduino Nano. You can use the ESP32 version, but you have to change where the sketch thinks the board is physically connected to the neopixels so the instructions are sent to the right GPIO PIN.

For the strand test and the chess ino's, the LED_PIN is 17; again for the 2040. To use the ESP32, change it to D8 and upload. LEDs should light up when a magnet is placed over the pixels/sensors.

tried to ask on all possible channels since I dont have the answer : im struggling to understand how would that Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect power up to 64 leds here... can someone explain how the wiring works as I can only see one cable usb-c going to the arduino, so i dont get how it would work out... (if 64 leds are on, that would go around 4A... no ? )

ok so, as per the BOM, J1 is to solder a "DF63M-2P-3.96DSA". Which could support a high Amp, and would makes sense to then power the LEDs...
so two cables then, one for J1, (would need some soldering and work to adapt the power supply to that kind of socket) and one for the arduino

I have an ESP32, and can get it to light up. when i use a magnet some LED's light up but not everyone like it should in the test sketch.. Any thouhgts
