https://build.nvidia.com/ 提供了免费的API 但是调用时会报错：

failed to process candidate [patterns]: Error: Embedding provider authentication failed (400: 400 "Your request cannot be validated, it is incorrect. detail={'type': 'extra_forbidden', 'loc': ('body', 'dimensions'), 'msg': 'Extra inputs are not permitted', 'input': 1024}"). Check embedding.apiKey and endpoint for NVIDIA NIM.

Hi @Aobing-code, thanks for reporting this!

Root cause: NVIDIA NIM's embedding API uses strict request validation and rejects the dimensions field that the plugin sends by default. The error extra_forbidden confirms NIM doesn't accept this parameter in the request body.

Workaround (available now): Add omitDimensions: true to your embedding config to suppress the dimensions field from being sent in API requests:

This keeps dimensions: 1024 for internal vector schema sizing (LanceDB) while preventing it from being included in the HTTP request to NIM.

Longer-term fix: PR #572 is improving how request-side dimensions are handled with a new requestDimensions field for finer-grained control.
