After this date it will no longer receive updates or releases, including critical bugs or security updates. Previously published releases will continue to be available via Maven. We recommend that you migrate to AWS SDK for Java 2.x to stay up-to-date with service features and security updates, and to take advantage of new SDK built-in features as well. The Migration Guide also shows how to find applications in your environment that are using AWS SDK for Java 1.x.

You may be using AWS SDK for Java 1.x indirectly as a transitive dependency of a library - examples include Amazon Kinesis Client Library [3], Hadoop-AWS [4], Spring Cloud AWS [5] and others. If this is the case, you need to upgrade the library to a version that uses AWS SDK for Java 2.x.

A list of AWS accounts which have used the AWS SDK for Java 1.x within the last 16 days is available in the "Affected resources" tab of your AWS Health Dashboard. Resources may continue to show as "pending" for 16 days even after you discontinue use.
