ZugFerd or UGL for PDF Invoices

I am in Austria, and there is the ZufFerd Standard vor digital invoices really common. Maybe we could implement that into the PDFs? That would be really awesome :-)
Maybe we have also different digital Invoices Types we could implement.

@fufiderheld I've been checking, but wouldn't it be more wise to be completely PEPPOL compliant, since all european countries are moving towards this platform for e-invoices.

Well Peppol is as far as I understand it a data transfer system and zugferd is a user system that allows user (Because its a normal PDF) to read the invoice and IN the PDF is a xml in which the invoice data is digital (like Invoice number, Date, ....) and as far as I understand it, you can send via peppol also ZugFerd Invoices. So I guess these are two pairs of shoes, or?
I know, because I am working with it every day (we are transforming invoice workflows in companies via docuware and jobrouter) in Austria and Germany ZugFerd is by far the most common digital invoice type.

I did some more research, apparently Peppol does not use it's own embedded XML format, but the XML format in the invoices needs to be EN 16931compliant, what ZugFerd does!.

maybe I am blind, but i updated to 4.20 but can't find it to configure (maybe there isn't any) and when I download the PDF there isn't any xml in the pdf. So maybe I am searching wrong? Do I have to create the Invoice again?

So I think we have a few things to do.

First the PDF needs to be PDF/A-3

there is an xml with peppool recognized:

These Errors are in German, maybe I will find something in english an better to be copied:

On that website https://app.b2brouter.net/de/validation (thanks @Heart1010 ) you can click on the error and view it where it is in the xml.

I always used that side for xml ZugFerd validation:

something went wrong, the xml is completly mmissing.
Also PDF 3A still not valide, found a program to vaildate it, called verapdf (If you want to know):

we have now a xml again, but still not PDF 3A compliant AND not ZuGFerd compliant, AND i found a program to validate it :-)
