When I receive a new push notification it only shows "New Message" in the notification so i need to open the app and wait for it to start up to know what a person wrote. Which accumulates to a lot of time throughout the day. If I knew what the message said i could quickly identify whether i need to look at the app to get the full message which would save me a lot of time. Especially when I'm under time pressure e.g. when meeting a friend at the train station that tends to come in the way.
Describe the solution you'd like
For message content to be decrypted and a preview of it being set as the notification text.
Describe alternatives you've considered
- I currently make sure to never close the app and just have it in my recent apps so I don't have to start it up every time. Which isn't ideal as it still needs to sync messages as it opens before I can see what people texted me.
- If the app started more quickly that would probably help this a bit too, in case i accidentally close.
- It might be possible for me to use unencrypted rooms because i think those do show show notification content

Thank you so much for making this wonderful app. This is a very minor pain that i have and i will love the app regardless of it. I assume it wouldn't be super easy to implement this, so i'm totally okay if it's not feasible within the resources we have. :))
