Possible adoption for C#

Hey,
I am very new to rust, so don't hate on me for asking stupid questions.

Me and my colleagues found your crate and were very impressed of the level of support for parsing/editing arxml files.
However, our application is running on c#. I know, that c# has the FFI for calling c functions. Still my knowledge and experience with such features is frankly too little. So, how hard would it be, to make a c# wrapper? I guess you did not plan for such a feature yet, right?

Hi Fabian,

The standard way to interface between C# and Rust would certainly be through C bindings, since Rust can export those and C# can import them.

There are currently no C binding for autosar-data. My targets were Rust (natively) and Python, for which you can find bindings in the autosar-data-py repository.
C bindings would have to be written from scratch, but I have no plans to implement them, since I currently have no need for them.

If you wanted to try doing this yourself, the correct way to do C bindings would be to make a wrapper crate like autosar-data-py.
The same design decisions in autosar-data that enabled Python bindings would likely also help for C, but even so I don't think this would be a newbie-friendly project.
