Do light/dark toggle via javascript?

This should be as simple as adding/removing class="dark" to/from the body tag.

The event and coloured nick toggles would be much more difficult, so maybe for consistency we just keep all 3 as they are now (ie, needing a page refresh).

You should be able to handle nick and event toggles by activating a class on the body tag as well.

For the nicks, in the CSS just preface all the nick colours with "body.colourNicks". If body doesn't have the colourNicks class, then the span won't do anything (and the php code just always wraps the span tags around nicks).

For hiding events, add this CSS: "body.hideEvents tr.other { display:none; }". Then it can operate the same as the above & dark mode.
