Character Menu Changes #11646

Proposed change

I took some time and write out some feedback I have for the character menu. I'd love a redesign, and some added filters. Let me go from top to bottom:

  1. I think the transfer search option could go next to the search bar or something like that. I'd like to avoid it being a whole menu option.
  2. Get farming mode out of the menu. This shouldn't be hidden away in a menu. I think it's useful enough to deserve its own quick access place. Also, it usually only makes sense for your current active character. For those reasons, I recommend put it in the postmaster area but for the vault section, something like this: Image
  3. Manage loadouts button is so redundant, just go to loadouts tab that's right there at the top. Why would someone first go into a different menu for this when it's right there at the top menu? It takes up valuable space. At least make it hideable.
  4. I never use DIM to apply my ingame loadouts, so much wasted space with this section. There should definitely be an option to hide this.
  5. I think max power special loadout should go at the bottom with the random loadout.

Alongside tags, or perhaps in place of tags, I'd like some more filters:

  • 1 row of subclass icons: solar, void, arc, stasis, strand, prismatic, undefined + maybe 1 clear all filters icon at the start
  • max ~6 rows of 8 exotic armor icons: only show armor that are actually inside loadouts, sorted by slot (and vault sort preferences).

This feature could be optional. We could even add exotic weapons that are in loadouts, but that may be too much. You should be able to choose 1 element to filter for, and 1 exotic armor.

Yes, I know you technically could use the triage tab for the exotic armor, and believe me, I use it a lot, but I know filters like this will work more seamless.

Also, please, can I get a share button in the loadout edit pullout menu? I don't want to have to navigate to the loadouts section for this every time. And make being able to select exotics (ornaments), with the rest only tansmog, fashion-only loadouts.

How does this fit into your workflow?

This would be a massive QoL change for me. It's a lot of changes. If you wish I could split it into multiple issues, just tell me how you want it split.
