Hacktoberfest 2025 – Registrations are Live 🎉

Hey @Developers-Capstone/elu-open-source, It’s that time of year… Hacktoberfest 2025 is here! 🍂💻
Get ready to contribute, brace yourself for action — registrations are live as of September 15, 2025 ✅

This is your heads-up so we can prepare in advance, team up, and make as many meaningful contributions as possible. Let’sget ahead of the curve, climb the leaderboard, and secure rewards (like the T-shirt) before they run out, LOL.

🔑 Very Important Points to Keep in Mind:

• Register anytime between September 15 – October 31, 2025
• Aim to submit four high-quality pull/merge requests between October 1 and October 31 (in any time zone, UTC-12 thru UTC+14), with project maintainers accepting your pull/merge requests for them to count toward your total
• PRs created before October 1 don’t count, even if merged in October. So go through all the projects and be ready with the suggestions/changes, but don't raise PRs before the 1st of October...
• You’ll unlock a digital badge when you register for Hacktoberfest, and level it up with each of your four pull/merge requests accepted during Hacktoberfest. Once Hacktoberfest 2025 is complete, you’ll be able to share your badge on the Holopin Hacktoberfest Badge Board of Fame to show-off your unique badge and to celebrate your hard-won victory! You can also embed your Holopin badge board, showing off all the Hacktoberfest badges you’ve collected over the years, on your GitHub or GitLab profile.
• Other than the Holopin rewards that continue to be the main mark of Hacktoberfest participation, there will be a special t-Shirt to be won here. But this reward will now only go to folks who complete 10 Pull/Merge requests completed with the vetting of a verified maintainer and will only be valid for the first 10,000 users to complete this challenge. This will be on a first come basis. We need to grab this up!
