[Feature Request] Pixelfed support

Honestly, I'm not satisfied with the current Android apps for Pixelfed. Since Flare supports multiple platforms, I would be thrilled if Flare also supported Pixelfed.

Would it be possible to integrate Pixelfed?

Pixelfed is compatible with the Mastodon API, so you can already use Flare to sign in to Pixelfed through the Mastodon login flow.

Okay, I'll test that. However, in my opinion, it would be better if the large Pixelfed instances appeared in the server list. Then it would be more obvious that Pixelfed is supported.

Flare currently gets its instance list from https://joinmastodon.org/servers. Because Pixelfed instances are not part of that list, they are not shown in Flare at the moment.

It depends on how you define “support”.
If by support you mean full native support with UI/UX specifically designed around Pixelfed, that would be almost the same as building a new app experience for it, and I honestly can’t promise that level of support.
If you mean support through the current compatibility approach, then Flare already supports Pixelfed today.
