Handling a snapshot

Hello,
Is there a way to handle a snapshot picture on the Picker Editor?
Since an item can only get an image by browsing in a directory, I am wondering what is the best approach to take directly a picture from a snapshot.
It would be great if we have that feature.

I'm implementing a snapshot feature from a viewport, which is also added to the Picker editor.
So, I was wondering if there is a workaround to paste directly from the clipboard into the canvas editor.
Otherwise, the snapshot must be saved (because the canvas editor only supports an existing image) before loading into the canvas editor.

Wow ! I'm impressed.
Honestly, I don't even know how you managed to embed a maya viewport in a Qt view actually. I
That being said, it is maybe a bit overkill to dock inside that view ? The maya viewport shouldn't be enough ? I guess it worth a try to evaluate that.
About the original question, the picker does not hold the images. So their is no way to directly paste an image without saving on the disk. But if the $DWPICKER_PROJECT_DIRECTORY is set, may we can automate to write the file a that place at paste time ?

Well, actually you can embed any Maya widget (Outliner, Timeline, Buttons, ...) into Qt by using MayaAPI OpenMayaUI.MQtUtil .
Isn't Maya viewport enough? well, in my opinion having the viewport next to the canvas editor is a time saver because you don't have to switch window everytime.

For the snapshot, there is an option to write the image file to the disk, so I opted that option by using the $DWPICKER_PROJECT_DIRECTORY env if checked, otherwise I added an option to select a directory before writing the image, else It considers the last used image directory.

One of the features that I like from MG Picker is the ability to auto-create picker for the selected controllers..
I'm working on that as well, but we will see.. :)

Btw, I'm going to push the viewport feature in another branch so that you can make a review about it.

This is also a future implementation, the ability to create auto-picker based on the object's transform in the viewport.
This is a WIP though because the Picker coordinate varies from the Background resolution, so I'm working on that to find the proper algorithm to solve that..
