Collaborating with EPFL IT and IC IT #12
Description
There are great opportunities to integrate carbon footprint tracking within the EPFL and the IC school IT department's tools.
For instance, Compute as a Service (CaaS) in IC is handled by submitting jobs to RunAI. Each job is necessarily affiliated to a project. RunAI could simply be extended to compute the carbon footprint of each job.
On a different level, the school's IT could help with developing a tool for all of EPFL's (or all of IC's) researchers to use.
