Smupe! get opensourced, but it is still under development.

Here I listed some of fixes, features or changes that I wanted to see in the app, but currently not implemented.

• Bugs to fix

  • Prefer simple share option produces path to the local file in {link} placeholder of share message when using local image sources (should show warning dialog instead)
  • current image sources loader (data.image_sources.ApiDefFileWrapper) does not load sources created by the user
  • when add local image source UI does not respond
  • creating new image source may cause name overlaps (sources names should be unique)
  • data.image_sources.repository.LocalRepository throws an error when converting Uri of directory to File (issue applies only to new Android versions)
  • switching image source does not update data on existing image cards on main screen
  • no input data checks when retrieving new resource to display => strange errors

• Improvements

  • clean code and remove unused/deprecated files (e. g. AsyncSwipeableImage)
  • divide app's logic from UI more properly (using ViewModel)
  • move from Room DB to SQLDelight
  • add tests (unit and instrumented)
  • split large @Composables to small ones
  • use more rememberSaveable to prevent data loss on activity recreations
  • cover entire codebase with comments (regular and doc-comments)
  • correct names of variables, functions, etc.
  • use Modifier.lazySwipeCardsCombinedClickable suggested by AmirHosseinAghajari (Bug: incompatible with Modifier.combinedClickable Aghajari/LazySwipeCards#3 (comment))
  • utils.calculateRoomResourceId() uses only resource name to calculate ID (should use both source and resource names to prevent overlaps)
  • expand data.room.entities.Favorite class fields to match the data.image_sources.models.contents.ImageResponse (or just add @Entity annotation to ImageResponse)
  • extract all strings to resource and translate everything properly
  • fix Android app theme to match color of TopAppBars on all screens
  • add tooltips to almost all elements of UI
  • create new Lottie animations
