Idea: merkle-tree datastore for security (ideally blockchain) #12

Hey, I found this project from a brief glance at the EEGI document.
I was hoping you might have interest in storing data on a blockchain, to deter malicious alteration of it.
I know the bitcoin-sv blockchain has a scaling testnet that can immutably store many gigabytes of data, replicated to every user, all lasting the lifetime of the chain. This particular chain is not expensive, since it is a testnet; alternatively chains that cost could be financed by people who value the storage.
I'm not asking you to run and implement this immediately =) I'm just connecting around the idea.
