It should be cool to add some plugin.
For example:

• a "merge" plugin; which can merge server data with local data w/ rules.
• an "auto-check" plugin; which can reload data automatically.
• Etc.

That seems a good idea to me.
Feel free to commit a doc markdown file or open again the wiki for this kind of stuff.
