This issue tracks unexpected auto-open/auto-close behaviors that can be confusing for screen reader and keyboard users.
Context
Part of the accessibility improvement effort tracked in https://github.com/Expensify/Expensify/issues/575078
Issues to Fix
- Other A11y: Many Pages: Date of Birth picker automatically opens when screen loads #77327 - Date picker automatically opens on screen load (prevent auto-open)
- SR: Settings-Security: The date field is announced as read-only but can be activated with a mouse #74842 - Date field announced as read-only but activatable (remove readonly, make it a button)
- Other A11y: Many Pages: The layout closes unexpectedly after selecting or removing the option #74834 - Layout closes unexpectedly after selection (require explicit confirmation)
