Reserve function doesn't work on empty cppit::String

If used on an uninitialized cppit::String (which means _string is nullptr), segmentation fault occurs.

And also you should double the caapacity when reserving so you do less copying,instead of adding 15

I got what is the problem . When you try to reserve a value between 1 and 20 the reserve functions exits on the first if because the _bufferSize is 20 at the sart , so a solution is to set _bufferSize to 0 in the String() constructor

And you should set _size to _newBufferSize at the end of the reserve function so the operator [] does not fail.

Adding 15 to _bufferSize is only a temporary measure. I wanted to do something smarter, like getting a new size based on past allocations, but for now, this is good enough.

As for the setting _bufferSize to 0 in implicit constructor, I might just do that. Another option would be to allocate right then and there, as to have a little memory at the first assignment. Not sure yet which one is the better way.

Another thing is that you can take a size_t (so the number is >0 , all size_t numbers beeing unsigned ) parameter instead of an int one and to add that to the existing capacity so you dont have to check for errors

I know what size_t is, but I have not taken an int as an argument anywhere
