ownCloud 8.2.5: No shortening

I just tried to set up this app but it doesn't work, I still get the original share links from ownCloud itself:

I copied the index.php from REMOTE-HOST to http://shortenerDomain.tld/s, set $owncloud_url = "https://MyPersonalDomain.com" and set $enabled = true.

What did I miss?

I had a similar problem - but in the end I got it running (using ownCloud 7.0.4 and internal shortener)

What I encountered was ownCloud would shorten links only if I logged out and in after having changed something in the 'shorten' config files.
Having recognized that, I got short URLs as expected. Next thing that occured was a blank page after opening a shortlink. This issue was fixed like this:

1. problem/mistake: In '/s/index.php' I entered my ownCloud URL with a trailing slash -> removed it. That made the redirect from shortened URLs to complete OC URLs work ✅
2. problem/mistake: the resulting complete OC URLs wouldn't work. That was because the shortener appends '/download' to the hash - where it has to be '&download' (at least for ownCloud 7.0.4) -> go to '/shorten/lib/code.php' (line 25) and change the '/download' to '&download' -> opening the sharing URL triggers a download window 👍

I double checked my configuration with a view on your specified problems and get as result: Everything was fine. Then I de- and reactivated the app, tried to share a file, got an error ("Error with sharing" or something like that) and after this message everything's like before (see issue description).
