Description
Show the OpenStreetMap community what data you are using. Add Deflock to the list of Taginfo Projects.
I would like to suggest adding a page to your website, if possible, where you list the OpenStreetMap tags you are using for your app. You can then share this page (JSON file) via an accessible interface (Taginfo).
Regarding data being displayed. Data used for your fork/instance of the iD editor / to otherwise edit OSM is not relevant, unless you have restricted it to certain (custom) presets/data (and only if it directly upload changes to the OSM database).
Use-cases
Comprehensive and accessible overview of OpenStreetMap data being used by the application, for use by OpenStreetMap contributors and data users, for discussion and analysis of the data and its usage.
Useful for comparison of applications, Deflock project troubleshooting, OpenStreetMap proposal process, research.
You can write a script to get (updates for) the data. I can’t help you with writing this script however.
Demonstration
You can get a visual description here SOTMEU 2023 talk by Jochen Topf
It is understandable if this is not possible.
Example
A basic example can be found at
- https://github.com/Scottish-Tech-Army/Soundscape-Android/blob/main/docs/taginfo.json (file)
- Add Soundscape to Taginfo Projects Scottish-Tech-Army/Soundscape-Android#332 (comment) (PR)
You can start simple with the main keys (ie. bicycle) and/or tags (ie. bicycle=yes) and can always expand it later.
Descriptions are optional.
