What makes a country visited?

I was wondering how long you have to be in a country to be considered a visit? Do you consider yourself visiting a country by flying over it? What about if you transfer at an airport? Currently, it seems that merely flying over a country counts as a country visited on Dawarich. It would be nice to be able to change these criteria. Also, is a visit to an overseas territory the same as a visit to its home country? My visit to Gibratar shows up as a visit for that day to "Gibraltar", but not as a visit to a new "country".

I would suggest that a visit to a country requires an actual visit in that country, not just having some points there from a fly-by or a drive-through.

If we're talking about stats in the sidebar on the map, it supposed to not count briefly visited countries/cities, but currently needs a fix. Right now every reverse geocoded point with data on city/country adds to this list.
