Using connect_ends to connect a wire to a segment-end-connected grid disconnects the wire from the grid

Where a grid is constructed from wires crossing at segment ends (allowable as a connection in NEC), connecting a wire end to any grid wire away from a segment end disturbs the segmentation of that wire so that it no longer connects to the rest of the grid.

Adding a 'connect to nearest segment end' switch would fix this, especially if made the default for grids.
