GITM is designed to work from 0 - 360 deg longitude (only positive longitudes). But, if a user wants to simulate from say -20 to 20 deg longitude, it is impossible. GITM should allow this to occur.
It is unclear if the user should be able to simulate (for example) from -180 to 180 (i.e., the whole globe). In theory, this should be fine, but we just need to make sure the ghostcells really work in these conditions.
It is unclear whether any of the plotting codes would work with negative longitudes. My guess is that the plots will not make a continuous image. This should be investigated if GITM starts to allow negative longitudes.
