502 Bad Gateway error

Bug Description:
The glycam.org website has been inaccessible for the past 24 hours and consistently returns a 502 Bad Gateway error.

To Reproduce:
1. Open a web browser
2. Go to https://glycam.org
3. The page fails to load and displays a 502 Bad Gateway error

Expected behavior:
The glycam.org website should load normally and allow access to its content and tools.

We've been having intermittent networking issues for about 24 hours now.

I'm trying to figure out why. I will post a message about this on the site and link to this issue.

I suspect that I need to increase the restrictions on use of our API.

If anyone seeing this is sending a large number of requests, maybe ease up for a while?

I'm going to take the sites down for a minute so I can look at some things.

It's not the API. I can't fix it right now. The site will go down for a while as soon as I can do that.

The sites are down now, but I need to rest before trying again or I will just make it worse. If they come back up, they will just be placeholder sites. The real sites would be too slow to use in any case.

Many apologies for the outage. This appears to be a hardware thing. I will post here when I think all is well again.

This can be closed after a day or two if there are none.

For the curious: some power or networking glitch caused multiple machines to be temporarily insane. I think they are all cured now.
