Visibility of development efforts withing the user group

The Problem

Currently, the institutions can't see what the others are doing on a technical level during development. However, that could be beneficial, create synergies, avoid duplication of work, help to keep a common direction of development and generally pool expertise and attention.

given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow

• Who is working on what?
• Which technical issues are being discussed?
• How are specific features & problems implemented and solved?

How to allow efficient sharing of this information when the development-repos & scrum boards can't be made available to all institutions? Or can they?

We will publish our GeoNode Fork soonish. It will be available for the FOSSGIS talk. There will also be a demo instance with our features for the conference.

We will use the repositories and the board on the user group to communicate activities. As said before, this requires efforts from all of us to

• show/make visible what we are currently working on
• ideas on what we could collaborate

This stands and falls with the communication from all of us :). However, I tend to move this issue to meta.
