Description
problem
The built-in camera app allows you to take a picture by pressing a volume button. This is convenient for when you can’t reach the shutter button with your thumb. :)
However, when you press a volume button, the device moves a little. As a result, photos sometimes look blurry. :(
suggestion
My feature request is: make the volume buttons activate a one-second timer before the shutter. This is just enough time to keep the device steady after pressing a button, and avoiding blurry pictures. :)
It would be nice if this timer were configurable, and several short delays could be chosen: 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, … seconds.
Bonus suggestion: give both buttons a separately configurable timer (both 1 s by default). This way, the user can assign one of them to a 1 s timer and the other to a 0 s timer. This can be useful when the volume button doesn’t cause blurry pictures, e.g., when it is remotely controlled, like on certain selfie sticks.
Sidenote: for a consistent experience, I think these settings should also apply to recording videos, even though there is already a half-second delay between the button press and the start of the recording.
