Configured default vibration settings for messaging app ignored for new SMS conversations #94
Description
The issue relating to inherited sound settings for new conversations was fixed (#50) but if, in the Messaging app, the "Incoming messages" notification default are set to allow vibration, that setting is not passed to new conversations.
Where this creates a real problem is if the global notification volume is set to zero, the phone is not in vibrate mode (so as to allow phone calls to cause a ring notification, for example) and yet the global notification vibration slider is set to (eg) max, then SMS messages in new conversations in the Messaging app arrive silently, no sound (per the global setting) and no vibration (against both the global setting and the app specific "Incoming messages" notification setting).
I have not tested to see if other Incoming messages settings are inherited by conversations, such as "Pop on screen".
