Unable to perform MQ Water Temple Boss Key skip on Switch

I recently noticed an issue with trying to perform a boss key skip on 8.0.6 SoH for Switch. Multiple attempts with verification in the community that I was performing the skip properly. I tested that it was the platform by copying the save to SoH for Windows and was immediately able to perform the clip.
