X and Y all mixed up

Per what most people would expect, X would be the distance from the left, or columns, and Y would be the distance from the top or bottom, but along the vertical axis.

Not to mention the codebase is littered with spelling errors; It's spelled position, not postion.
Also there are an insane amount of inconsistencies.
Not to mention the casing, the naming of similar properties, etc...
