There's excessive padding at the sides of pages that could be used for content, especially on higher resolutions.

1440p has an extreme amount of padding. I imagine 4K is even worse. Ideally I think padding a third or fourth of the padding shown in the 1080p screenshot would be reasonable. This could be done via a configurable option.
