@Industry4

Description

@Industry4

Today

  • Attributes MagazineId and SlotId for the Hermes Vertical Channel (Connections to a Supervisory System) on messages BoardArrived and BoardDeparted are currently not supported (left blank)

Enhancement

  • Support Attributes MagazineId and SlotId for the Hermes Vertical Channel on messages BoardArrived and BoardDeparted.
  • These Attributes are not used for the Horizontal Channel (M2M).
  • The Use Case will be focused on Loaders (Start-of-line) and Unloaders (End-of-Line).

Design Considerations

  • Magazine ID will have to be Set and Unset - Manually (User) or Automatic (External Source - eg Scan/RFID, Unset on Counter)
  • Magazine ID may be deterministic on a Attribute of the Hermes (Horizontal Channel) PCB Record (eg FailedBoard Attribute)
  • This is to consider Dual Unloaders which put a PCB in a Magazine based on Pass/Fail value from a AOI inspection machine.
  • [Optional] Magazine ID maybe temporary (Auto Created) - That it could be updated with a Real Magazine ID at a later date by a Manual Scan by a User. (Hermes BoardDeparted)
  • Slot ID may be Unknown, but a Maximum value of a Magazine and a Counter may be enough for now.

Design

  • For Each, Hermes (Horizontal) Attribute, a separate Magazine ID would have to be assigned, based on a separate source (ie multiple barcode readers/RFID)
  • The Digital Twin of the software would mimic the Real World of what the Unloader would do with a SMEMA Good/Bad Board Available signal.
